I'm picky when it comes to coats and ladies coats always have one something 'wrong' with them.
I want it floor-length, no belt or adjustable bit at the back, fitted at the waist AND hips and NO pockets! I want simple, clean lines.
My heart skipped a beat when I stumbled across this coat, read the size advice (that it comes up small) and figured a size SMALL might be small enough.
I ordered it late on Sunday and it arrived this morning (Tuesday).
It is perfect, ticking all my likes and dislikes and I. LOVE. IT!! Typical that we've got an unprecedented end-of-September heatwave heading our way, I want to wear my coat!
Now, about the sizing - I'm 5ft 6 and a UK dress size 6 to 8. My measurements are 34-24-34 and when the coat is done up, it fits perfectly across my hips and only has a bit of room around my waist and chest.
Guys, DEFINITELY go a couple of sizes bigger!

My favourite purchase from here so far. Very comfortable and wonderful fabric. It's fun to wear, though not the best thing when raining.

great value coat, thou on the small side so when ordering, get a size or 2 larger.Ordered small for a 81cm chest&it was vry tight. Great service from Kates clothing for returning & swapping for a larger size, which only took days. thanks x

The zipper is indeed metal instead of black. The epaulettes are very cheaply attached; they come off easily with a small tug. No pockets; it should have had some on the sides. The hood slides off when you're walking quickly, never mind any kind of wind; they should have made it heavier. The high collar is bigger than in the photo, it doesn't fit as close to the face unless you're pulling on it from behind.
My waist is 32in, and Large fit me very well around the shoulders, but the waist was a bit too loose. Medium wouldn't fit me though.
All in all, It's not perfect, I'll probably ask my tailor to adjust a few things, but I don't regret purchasing it.
