Cute and flattering

Very nice mini skirt. The waist is wide and flat, which sits flat over the tummy area, very flattering. Killstar sizing is all over the place and tends to be a real gamble, so I ordered 3 sizes to try. This is why I only buy Killstar from Kate's clothing because of the marvellous customer service and returns policy! Size wise, I am a UK 8-10 on bottom (usually a 10). I found the M too large and the XS too tight on the waist. The S was good, but a little too big still, though ideal if you are going to wear over thick leggings in winter, or if tucking in a long sleeved sweater. Wearing with a thin bodysuit, it did slip down on me a bit too far, suggesting I am between sizes unfortunately. I wasn't sure if the suspender straps were going to be functional or just for show. They are actually functional! They have a strong metal clasp, with a soft rubber grip lining it. The straps are somewhat adjustable in length. The only thing is that as the suspenders sit on top of the skirt, it means the skirt is crushed and crumpled where the straps are pulled down when in use, which slightly spoils the aesthetic in my view. They really should have come from underneath the skirt if they were designed to be functional. They do look alright just hanging/not attached though. The skirt, being mini, is obviously very short, so I personally wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it without leggings/tights underneath, but that is to be expected.
