Introducing ANTIBrand: Bold Designs, Made for You

If you’ve been following Kate’s Clothing for a while, you’ll know that I’ve always been passionate about UK-made gothic fashion and that drive hasn’t changed. But over the past year, I’ve also found myself craving a creative outlet that lets me design more freely and share ideas faster. That’s where ANTIBrand came in.

ANTIBrand is my creative playground, a space where I can take my own artwork and turn it into clothing, boots and shoes that let a little more of my imagination escape into the world. From digital illustrations to hand-drawn designs, it’s been a joy to create pieces that are fun, bold, and a bit rebellious, without the long production delays that come with traditional manufacturing.

🕯️ How ANTIBrand works

Each ANTIBrand item is made to order and shipped directly from my print partners in China. I know that’s different from how we usually do things here, and I want to be completely upfront about it.

I’ve been very careful about the base designs I use, testing and choosing suppliers who deliver quality pieces I’d happily wear myself. I’m also working my way through photographing the items in real life so you can see exactly what to expect, no surprises, just the real thing.

This made-to-order model means there’s a little extra wait for delivery compared to our in-stock items, but it also means every piece is created especially for you, no overproduction, no waste, and no dusty boxes of unsold stock.

By producing this way, I can release designs far more often, explore more daring concepts, and offer styles that might never make it through the slower, more risky and expensive process of full-scale production. It’s given me a chance to design freely again and honestly, it’s been a lot of fun.

🖤 Where ANTIBrand fits in

ANTIBrand isn’t a replacement for the other parts of what I do, it’s an extension. I’ll still be focusing most of my time and energy on the in-stock brands and continuing to grow our UK-made Necessary Evil range, step by step. Producing clothing in the UK is something I deeply believe in, but it’s a much bigger investment and a much slower process. ANTIBrand gives me the space to keep creating and experimenting in between those bigger projects.

So yes, ANTIBrand pieces are made in China, but they’re also made from my imagination, my artwork, and my love of dark design. Every piece still comes with the same care, quality checks, and customer support as everything else on Kate’s Clothing.
