Flats are the heart of the collection. Chocolaticas Mary Janes in dark prints, ornate buckle detailing, vegan uppers and a cushioned footbed that survives a full day upright. If you've been burned by gothic shoes that look incredible and cripple you by lunchtime, this is the part of the range to start with. Lightweight and breathable enough to work as goth summer shoes, sturdy enough for the rest of the year.

Each print is produced in a limited run. We buy small, in the sizes our customers actually wear, which means the range stays tight and the pairs we stock are ones we'd wear ourselves.

Gothic heels and alt shoes

For occasions that want something sharper, our gothic heels keep the height sensible - mid heels you can stand in, not statement pieces you'll carry home. Alongside them sit lace-ups, high tops and the last of our alt boots, including platform and brogue styles while stock lasts.

Curated and held in stock

We're not trying to stock every goth shoe made. We're a small UK alt fashion retailer that has been choosing pieces by hand since 2004, and we'd rather carry twelve pairs we believe in than two hundred we don't or worse, offer styles we don't even have. Everything here is held in our own UK warehouse, so alternative footwear ordered before cut-off goes out for next working day dispatch, with no customs charges for UK buyers.

Will sold-out goth shoes be restocked?

Usually not. We buy in small runs, so once a print or colourway sells through it's generally gone for good. If you're watching a pair, it's worth ordering rather than waiting.

Are your gothic flats comfortable for all-day wear?

That's the main reason they're in the range. Chocolaticas Mary Janes have a cushioned insole and a flexible sole, and are the styles our customers come back for. Heels are kept to mid height for the same reason.

Do gothic shoes run true to size?

Chocolaticas and Hot Chocolate Design generally run true to UK sizing. Every product page carries the brand's own size guide, and UK size exchanges are free if your first guess is wrong.
