Brands Like Disturbia
If you've landed here, you probably already own something from Disturbia and you're after more of that feeling from somewhere else. Fair enough. Here's an honest account of what we are, what we're not, and whether we're likely to suit you.
The short version
Disturbia is a single brand. They design in-house and sell exclusively through their own site - by their own account they don't wholesale or sell through third parties. So if you want Disturbia, you buy it from Disturbia.
We're the other model. Kate's Clothing is a multi-brand alternative retailer. We don't make most of what we sell, we choose it. That means one basket across Punk Rave, Banned Apparel, Dark in Love, Heartless, Vixxsin and Poizen Industries, plus our own UK-made label, Necessary Evil. Plus you can throw in some vibrant hair dye, a lipstick or a nice bit of Alternative Homeware while you're at it. One checkout, one delivery and one returns process if you need it.
Neither model is better. If you've found a brand whose fit and aesthetic suit you exactly, buying direct makes sense. If you'd rather compare several brands before committing, that's us.
A bit of background
Disturbia started in 2003 in Northumberland. We started in 2004 in Staffordshire. Two independent UK businesses of roughly the same vintage, still run by the people who started them, both selling to the same people for over twenty years. We're not a marketplace reseller or a dropshipper trading on someone else's name.
Where we're likely to suit you better
- Sizing. Most of our ranges run UK 8 to 22, with some pieces to UK 24. You can also browse the entire store filtered to your size, so you only ever see what actually exists in your size.
- Range breadth. Sixteen brands rather than one aesthetic. If you want occult romance one week and industrial the next, it's the same checkout.
- Returns. Free UK exchanges if the fit is wrong, and a straightforward returns process. Refunds carry a £3.99 fee if you use our returns label (there's no charge if you book your own shipping).
- UK stock and dispatch. Held in our own UK warehouse, most orders out for next working day dispatch, no customs charges for UK buyers.
Where Disturbia might suit you better
- You want their specific prints and designs. We don't stock Disturbia (although we did many years ago before they stopped supplying retailers, so you're not imagining things if you remember seeing it here).
- You already know their fit inside out. Cross-brand sizing takes more attention, which is why every product page here carries the brand's own size guide.

Do you sell Disturbia?
No. Disturbia sell only through their own website, so no stockist carries them. If a site claims to, be careful.
Are you cheaper than Disturbia?
It depends entirely on the piece. We stock brands across a wide price range and run a permanent clearance section, so there are cheaper options here, but we're not trying to undercut anyone, and we'd rather you bought something that fits.
What sizes do you go up to?
