About the Artwork: The 1999 print is adapted from a photograph Kate took from the window of her flat in Lichfield, during a pivotal moment in her life. The sky’s colours were reimagined in deep, moody purples — a nod to the Prince song “1999” with its lyric about a purple sky. Both nostalgic and transformative, it’s a piece of personal history turned into wearable gothic art.

I love anything made of mesh, but this is a real standout mesh dress.. The mesh for this new Made In the UK collection is softer & a higher quality than previous Necessary Evil items, making it soft & comfortable whilst actually holding it's shape better than ever. The collar is a beautiful double layer as are the sleeves, which are the perfect length. It's so easy to style & can be worn in so many different ways, I swear this dress all the time. Cannot recommend it enough. I am 5ft3 160cm, size 8-10 & an XS-S fits perfectly.
