Thank you, I’d love to understand a bit more

Thanks for letting me know, that’s really helpful.
I’m trying to get a better understanding of what matters most when it comes to returns, so I can make decisions that actually work for people.
If you’re happy to share a bit more, I’d really value it, either by leaving a comment below, or emailing me directly at kate@katesclothing.co.uk.
In particular, it’s really useful for me to understand things like:
- whether it’s about sizing/fit uncertainty
- wanting to try things on at home
- or just not wanting to risk being out of pocket if something isn’t right
No pressure at all, even just your original click has already helped.
Thank you again,
Kate x

I prefer free returns because you never know if the clothes will fit nicely or if the fabric will be itchy, for example. I always measure myself but even then fits are not always perfect. If returns are not free I don’t take the risk because sometimes returning an item can be more expensive than the cost of it.
I have no problem paying tor my purchases being delivered. I rarely return anything because I like to buy what I know I’ll wear.
For me, it’s about fit, and also whether it looks right once on.
It’s mainly because of how the sizing differs so much and I often buy several items, all the same size then find just one thing doesn’t fit, I don’t mind paying a shipping cost for several items as I often opt for next day delivery anyway because I can’t wait! ( I’m 56 and still get excited 🫣) However I do find it puts me off having to pay for returns!
Paying the postage doesn’t make much difference when placing an order, as I usually only order when there are a few items I want. But if I need to return an item it does mean postage cost is more noticeable, as it would be a single item.
