Thanks for taking a moment to answer, I really appreciate it.
I’m trying to find a balance that feels fair, while still being sustainable for the business long-term, so honest feedback like this is incredibly useful.
If you’re happy to share - what would make this work better for you? Would a lower return fee (e.g. £2.99) make a difference? If you’d like to share a bit more, you’re very welcome to leave a comment below or email me at kate@katesclothing.co.uk - I do read everything.
As a thank you, here’s your code for £10 off (min. £50 order value):
Thanks again,

For me, the minimum for free shipping is a little on the high side, although if the postage stayed reasonably priced that could be ok (for some companies there’s one standard shipping rate on the higher side that can be a bit off-putting if you’re not making a big order at the time).
This compromise feels like the worst of both worlds , I have to put in very large orders to get free shipping ( so I don’t get free shipping you rarely have £50’s worth of stuff I want in my size in stock at the same time) AND I have to pay for returns ( I do not do store credit I’ve been burned far too many times by bogus stipulations about how it’s used it simply loosing it when systems change )
Just be aware that free returns on the UK is a legal right and not something you can opt out of.
UK Law “You must also refund the cost of standard delivery if the customer paid for it. If they paid for a more expensive delivery option, you only need to refund the cost of standard delivery.”
I agree with those saying a lower minimum spend for free postage (I’d say £25-30); I think the size/fitting information on Kate’s Clothing is excellent, and have never yet had to return anything that didn’t fit as described.
I’d like a lower minimum for free shipping.
Or could you explore a yearly membership like EMP- £10 per year.
