Thanks, I really appreciate you helping me get this right!

Thanks for taking a moment to answer, I really appreciate it.

I’m trying to find a balance that feels fair, while still being sustainable for the business long-term, so honest feedback like this is incredibly useful.

If you’re happy to share - what would make this work better for you? Would a lower return fee (e.g. £2.99) make a difference? If you’d like to share a bit more, you’re very welcome to leave a comment below or email me at kate@katesclothing.co.uk - I do read everything.

As a thank you, here’s your code for £10 off (min. £50 order value):

THANKS£10

Thanks again,

I don’t mind a flat rate return fee, as free delivery over a set amout feels better for me. Most of the discounts and deals are nearly always cancelled out by then paying the postage fee, as I tend to think I’m getting a great price within a certain budget but then postage sneaks in on top. I think I’m more likely to order, or make an order up to free postage if it was more in the realms of £30-£40.

I’m fine paying for delivery for orders below £50 or £60, but paying for returns feels wrong. If an item is not as expected from the picture, even if not a “fault” per se (e.g. material is thinner than it looked, or sleeves too long/short etc.), returns for a refund within 28 days should be free.

As a plus size buyer and with the wide variety of sizing on goth clothes available I feel very strongly that free returns are important to keep. It’s one of the reasons I buy from your site rather than direct from Killstar et al as I feel safe to try “before” I commit to keeping the buys. A flat return fee is still better than a per item! Many previously “safe” free return stores have gone to paid returns recently such as Yours too and as a rural buyer I cannot access any suitable items for myself in store (or return or exchange anything locally either) so it feels like we are being squeezed out from both ends. But I would suggest keeping them free and leaving the postage as chargeable up to a point, of the options available. £50 is quite reasonable for clothing purchasers – although a lot for those who only buy smaller items. Free postage codes could be offered as opposed to money off buys once in a while which would help those buying smaller!

would it be possible to get free shipping for people who live overseas like in the USA as well. I know it would have to be higher maybe like $100 or $150?

As my main purchase from you is Directions hair dye I find the minimum spend of £50 for free shipping really hard to reach.
